Testimonials

My wife has attended the Kingfisher Day Centre, twice a week, for the last three years, having been diagnosed with dementia six months before. Although it is nine miles away from where we live, I could not have found a better place for her to spend her days. The Centre itself is ideal for the purpose, with ample soft armchairs and a large area, set aside, for the mid-day hot meal, which is freshly cooked in the adjacent kitchen. The staff, without exception, are kind, patient, attentive, always cheerful and have adjusted to my wife’s mental deterioration. The team engage the attendees in numerous activities including crafts, cake and biscuit making, quizzes, bingo etc. plus the occasional sing-along, when the music is provided by musicians brought in for the day. I cannot praise the Kingfisher Day Centre highly enough.
