The Kingfisher Trust, a registered Charity, was formed in 1984 to provide care, companionship, activities and rehabilitation for the elderly, and much deserved respite for carers in Whitchurch, Overton, Oakley, St Mary Bourne and the surrounding areas of North Hampshire.

Based in dedicated premises in Laverstoke, trained staff provide a range of group and individual activities and personal care within a safe, relaxed and friendly environment. Our services are suitable for older people with varying levels of care needs, including those who are lonely and those who have dementia.

Our specially converted minibus is able to provide transport to the centre. The centre has a lounge, a dining room, an area to do art and crafts, a quiet room and a kitchen, we even have a skittle alley. In addition there are two well-equipped wet rooms/showers and other toilet facilities, which are all wheelchair accessible.

Attending day services can help to relieve loneliness and isolation of people living on their own and assists people in maintaining independence. Services are also suitable for people who live with relatives, enabling family carers to have some respite with the peace of mind that their relative is being well cared for. A placement could be a day, half day or hourly and can be provided long or short term. We are open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 9am and 4pm.

A visit is recommended to anyone considering using our day services.
